A month. Exactly.

Well, its been a month since the last time I blogged. I'm not sure for the reason of the abandonment of my blog. Maybe laziness. Maybe like of inspiration. Who knows. Anyways, I'm back and I'm going to try to update this regularly because to be honest I miss it. I find it oddly relaxing, and I need some relaxation right now in my life.
My life has been hectic the last few weeks. I have a MILLION papers, tests, quizzes, exams, whatever. Its exhausting. The upside is that I only have NINE more days in my first semester of college. WHAT? I just graduated High School. My life is flying by and there isn't anything I can do to stop it. Recently I've picked up the art of crocheting. My friend, Beth, has been so gracious and patient trying to teach me how to do it. Guess what? I love doing it. It too is very relaxing. So far I've made a scarf for my momma and a blanket. I'm working on another project right now for Christmas.
I also just finished a book series called The Hunger Games. Oh. My. Gosh. They are so good. I read all three in a about a week and a half. I recommend them to everyone. I love love love loved it. I'm getting ready to start Nicholas Sparks' new book The Best of Me. I love every other Nicholas Sparks book so I'm sure I will love this one as well. I loved reading around Christmas time. There's nothing else like it. I could seriously lay in my bed all day and read.
Recently I started listening to Maroon 5. I've always liked their music, but I just fell in love with their newest album Hands All Over. It's amazing. I LOVE Adam Levine. He's got a beautiful voice and he isn't so bad looking either. I've also been listening to Taylor Swift's live album for Speak Now. I don't care what anyone says, she rocks. Her voice is a little different on the live album compared to her recorded album, but I don't care. She's good and that's all that matters. My current favorite song right now is A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. Oh my. It is like the best love song ever. It is off the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Soundtrack. Excuse the misuse of this word, but it is EPIC. I love it. Of course I listen to ADELE all of the time. Coldplay and Gavin DeGraw have also been playing a lot on my iTunes. AND I almost forgot. Michael Buble's Christmas album is amazing. Everyone should by it, that man knows how to sing a Christmas song. Cheers to you Buble. Okay. It could quite easily by said that I'm addicted to music. That's alright. Better be addicted to music than something dangerous. As for movies, the best one I've seen recently is Breaking Dawn pt. 1. It is the best Twilight movie so far. It is SO GOOD. I loved it.
Also, I had a fantastic Thanksgiving break. My family and I spent the week in Gatlinburn/Pigeon Forge. It was beautiful down there and I had so much fun. There is nothing like family time!
Alright. That's a quick update of what I've been doing the past month. If you actually read this whole thing, thank you. It is greatly appreciated.
                                                         XOXO, -T.

This is what it looks like right outside of my room. It just appeared out of no where in a matter of minutes. Insanity.

A picture of Beth, me, and Meg at the Breaking Dawn Midnight showing. We made shirts. Don't judge us.
Me, my brother, and half of my sister on the tram in Gatlinburg. Fun stuff. Good memories.

Here's to you John.

If you know me, you know I love John Mayer. It hurts my heart to hear people say that don't know or don't like him. Yes, he is known to be a complete and total jerk (another word could be inserted here, but that wouldn't be appropriate). A person I know who doesn't like John said that even though she isn't a fan of him, he has some good quotes. Of course, I agree. So I compiled a list of my absolute favorites. So, here's to you John...

"People thinking I'm hot is proof positive that a guitar is the ultimate airbrush.” (This made me laugh;) )

"Life is about making running changes. You can’t stop to fix things. You have to mend the sail while you’re still at sea."

"I get to this point now where I start learning that: when all else fails, go with the heart."

"If I were to give back the regretful experience, I’d also have to give back the lesson I learned from it"

"Music is the reminder that it is always possible to feel alright."

"My six words story: This heart didn’t come with instructions."

"How are you supposed to live the rest of your life on half of your heart? It’s haunted people…you’ve got to live your life as a whole."

"It's very sad to me that some people are so intent on leaving their mark on the world, that they don’t care if that mark is a scar."

"Anybody who criticizes you is a wimp. So be you. And be you loud, and be you strong, and be you to the maximum."

"I know what I need, and I don’t like the time in between, with the wondering and the questioning of what’s it gonna take..."

If anyone cares, the underlined ones are my favorites, even though they are all good. ;)

That's all. XOXO, -T.
